Living Memorial Ceremony for Deputy Manuel Steve Gomez
The family of Deputy Manuel Steve Gomez and the Dallas County Sheriff’s Department were deeply saddened by his death on October 20th, 2015. Deputy Gomez’s family will join the Sheriff’s Department in dedicating a living, lasting memorial to remember an honorable and valued law enforcement officer who truly loved working as a deputy sheriff and serving the citizens of Dallas County.
What: The Dallas County Sheriff’s Department extends to you a cordial invitation to attend a Living Memorial Ceremony to honor the memory of Deputy Manuel Steve Gomez. The Sheriff’s Department will be presenting a gift to the Gomez Family and staking a black cast plaque to be placed as a marker and memorial. This special event is sponsored by TXU Energy and the Texas Trees Foundation.

Daniel, TXU Energy, Texas Trees Foundation, and former co-workers of Deputy Gomez.
Why: A tree planted in Deputy Gomez’ memory is a most fitting tribute that will continue to honor this great public servant generation after generation.
